OVERVIEW

Fuel Cell Controller Integration Group is seeking a motivated Propulsion Control Systems Integration Engineer to support Fuel Cell Control System (FCCM, SSB, CPIM and Boost Controllers). In this role, you will be responsible for interfacing as a single point program manager with GM VIP team, vehicle program teams (FCPC/MPGS team), and FCS JV plants, guiding and directing the development and production release of various embedded control modules.

This experience includes exposure to high level management such as vehicle chief engineers as well as opportunities to work with experts in the field of controls

• Primary goal is to deliver integrated hardware, software & calibration for Development, Production and Service by ensuring program execution to standard processes.
• Interaction with GM VIP organization (aka Global B Organization).
• Work with ETAS, VMEC and outsourced suppliers on GM's new Global B sourcing strategy, Universal Basic SW (UBSW) team.
• Primary Embedded Controls interface to Application Teams, Vehicle Assembly Plants, and Customer Care and Aftersales
• Programs manage all FCS controller readiness including VIP (Global B) and J1939 integration.
• Lead and support continuous process improvements

Required Skills and Experience

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  
• Knowledge and 5+ years of experience in Embedded Controls
  
• The primary competencies required for this position are: Solves Problems and Analyzes Issues, Drives for Results, Takes Initiative, Planning and Organization
  
• High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
  
• High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others
  
• High level of oral and written communication skills
  
• Appropriate interpersonal styles & communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals
  
• Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area
  

Preferred Skills and Experience

• MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  
• Knowledge and 7+ years of experience in Embedded Controls
  
• DFSS Certification
  
• Prior experience in manufacturing
  
• Prior experience negotiating between parties
  
• Knowledge and experience with controller and data file release process
  
• Knowledge and experience in Control system hardware/software implementation, integration and test
  
• Demonstrated proficiency in Project Management
  
• Demonstrated proficiency in both written and verbal communication
  
• Demonstrated ability to work in a Global environment
  
• Demonstrated proficiency in planning and organizing, drives for results
  
• Take initiative and efficient in issue resolution
