- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have at least one year of experience in a food safety or resturant safety related areas
- Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance safety guidelines.
- Knowledge of common cooking methods
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply/divide with 10's and 100's (Ability to perform operations using units of money & weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Be a people person.
- Be ServeSafe Certified or obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Works along side divisional chef and management team
Conducts daily audits of food service areas, utilizing Cedar Fair’s approved audit form - Prepares reports for regular review with the Chef. Reports should include weekly recaps and suggestions on improving processes.
- Corrects immediate areas of deficiencies when observed.
- Provides training for all associates in maintaining proper food safety.
- Reports any and all maintenance concerns that could have an adverse effect on food and personal safety.
- Ensures all safety equipment is being used properly; alerts Supervisor or any malfunctions, safety concerns, or needs.
- Develops plan to improve on any areas of concerns
- Walks with health department or internal audit inspector during a routine audit
- Follows board of health regulations
- Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
