Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Reporting, the Financial Reporting Analyst will have responsibility for (1) the initial preparation of the Company's quarterly and annual reports, including the consolidated financial statements and related notes, as well as management's discussion and analysis, all prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and the Security and Exchange Commission's regulations applicable to the Company; (2) assistance in the development of documents related to external reporting (e.g., earnings releases); (3) initial preparation of the calculations supporting the Company's debt covenant compliance; (4) preparation of a monthly statement of cash flows and other information that may be necessary to supplement management reporting; and (5) assistance, as may be required, with the month-end close process.

  • Develop initial drafts of the Company's financial reporting, including the quarterly and annual reports, earnings releases and reporting for variable interest entities, with an emphasis on quality, reliability and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with the Financial Planning and Analysis function to manage bank compliance reporting and the presentation of non-GAAP measures included in the quarterly and annual reports.
  • Research technical accounting issues as required.
  • Ensure that adequate and thoroughly reviewed support for the preparation of financial statements, required disclosures and other presentations is maintained.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the enterprise, including Legal, Treasury and IT, to streamline and automate the financial reporting process.
  • Assist in the development or enhancement of reporting capabilities, incorporating proper internal controls and ensuring data integrity.
  • Work directly with management and team leaders to gain insights into reporting needs.
  • Stay abreast of new accounting developments and assist in briefing members of the senior and executive leadership teams on their impacts on the Company.
  • Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with sound internal control over financial reporting.
  • Assist in managing communications with external auditors on financial statements and accounting issues.
  • Analyze complex financial reporting problems and develop solutions within financial systems using available tools and technologies.
  • Liaise and partner with the Financial Planning & Analysis team for continuous process improvement in forecasting, reporting and other operational initiatives, etc.
  • Complete other projects as necessary and other duties as assigned.


What we look for
  • A degree in Accounting from an accredited college is required
  • Thorough working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and SEC reporting rules and practices
  • 3+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience with increasing responsibility; some public accounting experience preferred
  • Motivated individual who works well with others and thinks clearly under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Exceptional ability to problem-solve individually or in a group setting
  • Ability to shift priorities quickly, while maintaining organization and control of work in progress
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; working knowledge of advanced Excel features, including but not limited to pivot tables, vertical lookup tables, the sumif function and goal seek
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written communication skills to both technical and non-technical customers
  • Ability to work and communicate with various levels within the organization, including members of the senior leadership team and members of other departments, including, but not limited to, Legal, Treasury, and Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Thoughtful leadership in creating efficiencies and process improvements
  • Must have a strong, demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Strong technical accounting skills; knowledge of accounting theory and practices, GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Ability to research, synthesize and apply technical accounting topics
  • High-energy, self-motivated, team player with a desire to excel in a demanding and fast-paced detailed-oriented environment
  • Proficient in self review of own work prior to submission and able to manage multiple requests for various departments
  • Professional demeanor; focused, articulate and well-organized
  • Flexibility in hours as required for deliverable deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership and work in a flexible team environment
  • Media experience a plus
  • Experience with data analytics tool such as Alteryx a plus
  • ERP systems experience with SAP and Oracle a plus
