Financial Inclusion Intern

About the Position

The individual who excels in this position will use their knowledge and skills to support the Finance team with various assignments and projects. The individual in this position will have a strong willingness to learn and research topics relating to the following areas within the Finance Department: Financial Inclusion, Community Strategies, Treasury Management, Asset-Liability Management and Financial Forecasting & Analysis.

Normal Day-to-Day Work

1. Understand financial inclusion efforts at LGFCU and provide recommendations to enhance program efforts.
2. Analyze LGFCU member and community impact and help provide key statistics to management.
3. Utilize various sources to conduct research on economic changes for various North Carolina counties.
4. Research public and private financing options for community development.

Job Qualifications

Here are a few skills you MUST have to be considered for this position.

1. Currently working towards a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field of study.
2. Good verbal, written, telephone, interpersonal communication skills and strong service orientation.
3. Ability to function in a Consumer business office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone, etc.
4. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer printer).
5. Travel required sometimes

This is a paid internship, running May 17 - August 6. All candidates must be able to work on site in Raleigh, NC.
