Summary

The primary function of the Financial Analyst position is to maintain, develop, create and generate financial reports.   The Financial Analyst will utilize Oracle Hyperion Essbase software in conjunction with Microsoft Excel for analytics. 



Primary Duties and Responsibilities.

  • Assist in completing cost reports as part of the rate setting process.
  • Assist with the monthly closing of the books.
  • Analyze financial models and update as necessary.
  • Prepare month end and forecast variance commentary reports for the division.
  • Support field business personnel as needed.
  • Complete/coordinate required financial information for project proposals for the division.
  • Provide support to senior department personnel for projects including budgets, forecasts, operating plans and strategic plans.
  • Assist the senior department personnel with ad hoc and special projects as needed.
  • Update periodical financial reports.
  • Assist with divisional forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Support the Abraxas philosophy and mission and promotes the Seven Key Principles of care.

 

 





Minimum Requirements

  • The following education and experience requirements are acceptable for this classification:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, accounting, or finance; AND
  • Two years of progressive experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or a field business manager capacity.
    • Other Qualifications:
      • At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
      • Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific State & child clearances and, if necessary, FBI).
      • Non-communicable diseases physical exam.
      • Valid driver's license from employee’s state of residence.
      • Valid registered vehicle insurance.
    • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
