The Finance Associate is a unique role that will provide visibility to both the accounting activities along with the financial planning & analysis activities. This role will report into FP&A and will work cross functionally among the accounting and finance teams to assist in the weekly and monthly close process and reporting along with other adhoc responsibilities. This role will help prepare support schedules, balance sheet reconciliations and assist with weekly and monthly reporting and analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with the mid month and month end close reporting
  • Weekly journal entries for T&E, samples, Cash and reconciliations for these accounts
  • Weekly flash reporting
  • Month journal entry preparation and reconciliation of prepaids
  • Review of close entries for coding expenses
  • Support the preparation and consolidation of the monthly reporting book for the executive leadership team
  • Assist with support schedules and tie-outs for close, forecast and the budgeting process
  • Support ad hoc requests for analysis and reporting that support strategic decision making for the company
  • Assist in the administration and maintenance of the financial analysis tool
  • Leverage knowledge learned from accounting and finance responsibilities to provide suggestions on process improvements for each of the areas
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Manages in order to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory/legal requirements

Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities
  • Individual Contributor - Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements
Skills/Knowledge
  • Experience in the following computer software applications
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Ability to consolidate, synthesize and report on large amounts of financial data.
  • Attention to detail & data accuracy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
