Job Purpose

To package quality coatings in a manner that will enable the delivery of defect-free, competitive products on time to both external and internal customers.Executes assigned production tasks in accordance with procedures, to ensure right levels of HSE, Quality, Service and costs.

Key Accountabilities

  • Operates various kinds of filtration, filling, and labeling equipment and palletizes materials as specified in the standard operating procedures to assure accurate packaging and filling.
  • Interprets work orders to assure materials are packaged in the proper containers with proper labeling.
  • Performs safety and housekeeping aspects of the job by following all safety rules, wearing required safety equipment, locking out equipment as required, cleaning up work areas during and at completion of tasks, maintaining all work stations and tools in an orderly and clean fashion, following all 5S programs. This responsibility enables new employees to become knowledgeable of all practices and procedures and to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assists in the training of new employees by demonstrating the proper procedures required to operate equipment, monitoring progress made and advising the Supervisor or Team Leader of specific performance problems so additional training can be given.
  • Other duties as required.

Education & Experience

  • High school education or GED.
  • Basic reading and math skills required.
  • Must receive on the job training by another qualified technician or supervisor before performing any of the above duties unsupervised.
  • Qualified candidates must be dependable with good attendance.
  • Good reading, writing, math and communication skills are required.
  • Candidate must be detail oriented and have a record of good job performance. Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Candidate must be able to work in a manufacturing & laboratory environment and be capable of wearing an air purifying respirator. To wear a respirator per OSHA regulations, candidate must pass medical evaluation and fit testing to qualify as a respirator user.
  • Also requires extensive stooping and bending.
