Job Description

The Feeds Support Technician will aid and support all feeds/integrations related documentation, services, and troubleshooting. As a subject-matter-expert in feeds/integrations, Smart Square, and client nuances. Will tackle issues, have knowledge of all clients custom feeds/integrations, work through ad hoc projects.

Essential Role Functions: .

  • Daily Client Feeds/Integrations Maintenance:
    • Review feed/integrations summary for each pod on the Job Status Check page
    • HRIS, Punch and Census
    • Supervise Alerts in the feed/integrations maintenance channel in teams.
    • Check and update Known Issue log as vital with issues that could affect feed/integrations maintenance duties.
    • File decryption
    • Check active queries's tool to check on long running jobs.
    • Check active reports' tool to check on long running reports.
    • Handle daily feed issues, such as failed HRIS thresholds and Census files not populating.
    • Handle and process tickets from client ticket queues related to feeds/integrations.
    • Communicate internally when the issue is resolved.
    • Complete assigned tickets in a timely manner.

  • Technical System/Software Knowledge:
    • Feed/integrations specs knowledge for each of Smart Square's integration.
    • Build/edit database queries to research feed/integrations issues
    • Connect to each environment via SSH to review logs and understand the information within the logs.
    • Recompute data in tables for pay periods and schedules.
    • Write/complete scripts, i.e., shell scripts.
    • Engages with partners to understand business objectives and deliver robust solutions that meet our customers' needs and surpass their expectations.
    • Maintains and increases proficiency in all relevant technologies by means of peer education, self-study, and training, if offered.
    • Applies open-source framework knowledge and software development coding skills for product features and client facing API's.
    • Adheres to coding policies, user documentation, and operational discipline as defined by the software development policy.
    • Identifies risk and risk mitigation strategies associated with the architecture including alignment to AMN and Avantas Information Security policies and procedures.
    • Understands knowledge of the following coding languages, Oracle PS/SQL, CRONTAB, JavaScript, Groovy, SFTP( Secure File Transfer Protocol ), VPN( virtual private network), Kibana/Elastisearch, Amazon Web Services.
    • Swager, API solutions (preferred 1-3 years)

  • Customer Service:
    • Liaison for feeds between Innovation and Support.
    • Strong written and verbal skills.
    • Proven ability to coordinate multi-functional work teams towards task completion.

Advanced Role Functions: These should be displayed within initial 6 months within the role.
  • Technical System Knowledge:
    • Domain expert for all feeds/integrations.
      • Expected behavior expert.
      • Knowledge of all client's custom feeds/integrations.
      • Feeds/integrations daily maintenance cycle

  • Feed Projects:
    • Create and drive Project Change Forms for client feed/integrations projects and system transitions.
    • Validate and test the feeds as part of the project.
    • Understand what limitation with the feed/integrations structure and be able to communicate that to clients at a level they can understand.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years' experience working in a professional environment supporting computers and network technology.
  • Experience with call center support systems and processes.
  • Solid background in customer service and technical support.
  • Good communication and collaborative skills.
  • Experience with full-stack JavaScript development is a plus.
  • 2+ years of progressive work experience in open-source technology solutions & cloud native technologies (AWS).
  • Contributed to at least two completed, commercial software projects that included post-release support and maintenance.
  • Experience with full-stack development is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of creating support tickets and fix customer issues.
  • Ability to keep detailed records and maintain/update customer accounts in real time.
  • Demonstrable ability to problem solve.
  • Solid understanding of local area networks and WiFi network components, standards and topology.
  • Ability to work successfully in a remote/distributed team environment.
  • Ability to multitask, must be able to handle interruptions and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to research and analyze special projects or tasks.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team on projects or work efficiently independently.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to complete project assignments (preferred).

Pay Rate
$47,500 - $56,000 Salary
Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
