Summary: This position will be the team lead in a Feed Manufacturing facility, performing processing operations and providing guidance to others to provide efficient, safe and reliable service to patrons. You must be a detail-oriented, results-driven individual with a commitment to quality, accuracy and the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work in both a team environment and on self-directed tasks are necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Partner with the Location Manager to run a multi-million-dollar Feed Manufacturing operation according to divisional objectives to provide patrons with prompt, courteous and effective service while maintaining the efficiency necessary to achieve a maximum margin of profit
• Assist in establishing and implementing a program for the Feed Manufacturing plant to include housekeeping, safety, and equipment maintenance to avoid breakdowns and limit safety hazards
• Actively uphold and carry out Food Safety Management and HACCP initiatives every day
• Supervise operations personnel through responsible training, clear job assignment, definition, and explanation
• Educate team members in the operations of the Keystone Cooperative objectives to enhance employee effectiveness and improve member relations
• Monitor the work of operations employees to correct deficient performance and reward and develop all employees
• Assist in developing budget and asset needs. Establish and implement short-term goals that are consistent with long range plans for growth in operation, including facility, equipment, and personnel
• Operate loaders, conveyors, tractors, track mobiles and/or drive a forklift
• Will be able to work extended hours as needed, including weekends and holidays
• Ensure proper documentation is completed associated with Feed Manufacturing and Finished Feed product shipments including daily record keeping and drug product use verification and reconciliation
• Assist with feed ingredient procurement decisions and daily inventory management
• Oversee the accurate receiving of incoming Feed Ingredients
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed
• Cultivate and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

Education
High School Diploma or GED; 5 years of Feed Manufacturing handling/elevator experience; 1 year of supervisory experience; and previous customer service experience.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
