Description
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is seeking a passionate individual to serve as Federal Aid Administrator I working collaboratively with agency staff and partners in monitoring and processing USFWS federal grants that conserve, enhance and restore the wildlife, fish, and natural resources of Nebraska.

Examples of Work
The Federal Aid Administrator I reviews U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service grants, and grant expenditures for eligibility, completeness, compliance issues, financial availability and accuracy according to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Federal Aid guidelines.

This position works with the Federal Aid Administrator II and III, and the Federal Aid Accountant in all phases of grant financial processes. This might include grant budget review and tracking, working in federal grant systems, reviewing grant expenditures, maintaining information on grant projects and funds, insuring fund and project compliance, assisting in audits, coordinating with project leaders regarding deadlines and compliance, and various other duties applicable to fish and wildlife conservation in Nebraska.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Degree in natural resources, business administration, accounting, or other appropriate curriculum, OR high school education plus four years work experience significantly related to position's function, OR combination of education and experience equivalent to the above requirements. Valid driver's license required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
General knowledge of wildlife and fisheries conservation/management and natural resources principles. Knowledge of grants and accounting principles, practices, methods and procedures.

Ability to analyze regulations, financial transactions; complete mathematical computations, and communicate effectively. Strong organizational skills, Working knowledge of Microsoft suite software including creation of databases and spreadsheets.
