Education: Bachelor's degree in a Health and Human Services field or currently enrolled in an advanced degree program. Education may be substituted with at least 5 years of experience in the field of Health and Human Services.
Experience: Required 5 years related direct experience serving families, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or group leadership capacity.

Summary: The Family Engagement Coordinator is responsible for using sound professional judgment and best practices to ensure quality services are provided to the service population while maintaining compliance with established program standards.

Essential Functions:
Responsible for coordinating a Parent Advisory Committee and ensuring members are engaged in program decision-making.
Solicit and share family feedback with the Parent Advisory Committee for analysis, strategy, and coordination of service.
Develop, review, and revise a quarterly outreach plan with the support of the Parent Advisory Committee.
Conduct family surveys to assess needs and review results with Parent Advisory Committee.
Provide training and support for families in order to conduct outreach on behalf of the program.
Provides targeted outreach and recruitment of participants for Family Resource Center activities to identify underserved populations.
Partner with Parent Advisory Committee to host parent-led events and initiatives.
Partner with Parent Advisory Committee to host parent cafes and other workshops.
Provide/facilitate training for families on self-advocacy and leadership.
Establish and maintain a trusting and professional working relationship with families by providing regular contact.
Provides intensive case management services to families.
Record all group and individualized services and activities in a complete, concise, and timely manner utilizing program forms into PEIRS (DFPS) and Efforts to Outcomes (BCFS) software.
Meet with supervisor on a bi-weekly basis to evaluate status of families on caseload.
Meet all deliverables as outlined in the contract.
Measurable Deliverables:
Obtain and maintain certification in Safe Care curriculum administration per National Safe Care Research and Training Center guidelines.
Provide parent & health education, case management, resource and referrals, basic needs support, and/or other support services to families on caseload on a weekly basis.
Document all attendance on a weekly basis in ETO.
Attend all required annual trainings.
Provide community education on child abuse prevention strategies on a monthly basis.
Develop together with Lead Resource Navigator, updates, reminders, and community education information on a monthly basis.
