Job Title:Extension Educators Coordinator 2 - MahoningDepartment:FAES | Mahoning County

This position is located in Mahoning County. Using standardized teaching materials, teach nutrition and other nutrition-related topics to low-income youth and/or parents or caregivers of youth participating in the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program ( EFNEP) in community settings. Recruit program groups through networking and collaborating with other individuals, community agencies, schools, and organizations. Use surveys to assess adults/youth before and after the series of lessons. Participate in staff development and training opportunities to increase knowledge of nutrition topics and successful recruitment and teaching methods. Maintain accurate and complete records and reports for all activities. Use standardized surveys to assess program participants' knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors to determine educational needs and program impacts. Maintain confidentiality of participants and individual records. Attend staff meetings and in-service training programs at the local, regional, and state levels as required by the EFNEP Program Specialist and/or Project Director. Implement changes as required by the sponsoring agency and by OSU Extension.


Perform related work as required. This is a grant-funded position that is a temporary one year position.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred. 1 year of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

Position located in Mahoning and Columbiana County and is a temporary one year position.

The pay range for this job profile is $15.00 - $17.59/hourly. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
