Description:
Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is a full-service, non-profit Catholic hospital, sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and a member of Trinity Health.

Job Summary:
• The ER Technician is responsible for delivery of patient care. The ER Tech provides patient care in the Emergency Center under the supervision of the RN or physician.

This is a PER DIEM position on day shift with NO benefits.

Experience & Skills:

  • Previous hospital experience a plus
  • excellent phlebotomy skills required
  • Excellent customer service
  • willing to cross train on desk
Minimum Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma or GED from accredited school is required
  • Certificate from Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program required
  • Willingness to cross train as Unit Secretary
  • Previous experience working as an EMT-B or CNA required. Experience with starting IVs is necessary
  • Computer experience
Licensure/Certifications:
  • Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License required
  • BLS required
