Description:
The equipment Technician is responsible for the delivery, set-up, pick up, and instruction of DME equipment, Oxygen products, Supplies, and pharmacy prescriptions to home care patients within the geographical service area. Maintains warehouse facility, delivery van, and assist in office as required.

  • Delivery and set up of Durable Medical Equipment (DME).
  • Delivery of Pharmacy prescriptions to customer's home.
  • Determines best daily route, drives delivery van on daily route to deliver DME to homecare patients in a timely manner.
  • Obtains required equipment and supplies from warehouse area.
  • Keeps delivery van always stocked with appropriate supplies for daily and on call use.
  • Provides patient/caregiver education, instructing them on proper use, cleaning and safety of equipment as applicable.
  • Works with patient/caregiver to solve a variety of problems, there by acting as a company representative.
  • Familiar FDA regulations as they pertain to Oxygen.
  • Pick-up, clean and/or handles returned rental equipment as specified by universal precautions policies.
  • Completes all daily work promptly and accurately, turning it in to the appropriate facility personnel.
  • Keeps equipment on warehouse clean and in good working order. Keeps warehouse clean and organized.
  • Responsible for delivery van maintenance, cleanliness, and fluid levels.
  • Participates in On-Call rotation
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or request by supervisor.
