Job Info

About the Company

At Torc, we have always believed that autonomous vehicle technology will transform how we travel, move freight, and do business.

A leader in autonomous driving since 2007, Torc has spent over a decade commercializing our solutions with experienced partners. Now a part of the Daimler family, we are focused solely on developing software for automated trucks to transform how the world moves freight.

Join us and catapult your career with the company that helped pioneer autonomous technology, and the first AV software company with the vision to partner directly with a truck manufacturer.

Meet the Team:

Developer & Operational Tools enables our Autonomy engineering teams to focus on their core responsibilities and deliverables by providing them with foundational services, systems, and tools that support their workflows and enable our customers to operate a scalable fleet of autonomous trucks. The Data Systems group owns vehicle and simulation data ingestion, data lake, data processing and enrichment frameworks, data discovery tools, business intelligence tools, and machine learning infrastructure. We work in a distributed team with a remote-first mindset. By that we just mean that we work to ensure everyone is on the same playing field in terms of collaboration and information, regardless of where they work. We collaborate frequently in many different forms including daily stand-ups, planning meetings, and many ad-hoc discussions/brainstorming/troubleshooting/pairing sessions over zoom or slack. Our team is operationally responsible for the services we own, so we do have an on-call rotation in place where each member will take a turn serving as the front-line to incidents for our services. Rotations last a week each, during business hours. We value maintaining a healthy work/life balance and prefer sustainable development over heroic efforts.
