RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Coral Gables, FL that is seeking an Engineering Director.Responsibiilities:

• The Engineering Director will manage, build, and lead development teams using a cloud-driven CI/CD methodology for our SaaS services
• Maintain effective communication concerning realistic development and implementation timelines for all development projects with cross-functional teams
• Hire excellent engineering talent to grow the team
• Offer mentorship and career development to team members
• In this role, the Engineering Director will drive adoption of industry best practices on technologies and techniques
• Develop and review designs, code, unit tests, system tests, and documentation
• Identify and correct issues that impact performance, reliability and scalability
• Ensure the technical feasibility of front-end, back-end and API designs
• The Engineering Director will collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Engineering or similar field
• 10-15 years of front-end, back-end and REST API software design experience and implementation of commercial software products or 3-5 years of SaaS based product development
• 5+ years of experience managing and developing software development teams of 15-30 engineers and support
• Extensive experience in working with stakeholders to create hiring strategies to develop quality teams
• Strong knowledge of network/or security
• Must be knowledgeable about industry trends, best practices, and change management
