The IT Engagement Coordinator will assist the team in managing various programs and activities within the ITS organization with a special focus on professional development for all ITS staff and onboading for all IT professionals from our campus community. The coordinator will assist in developing and implementing professional development programs for all staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge including coordinating special projects and initiatives related to IT services and helping to facilitate the onboarding process for new IT staff members.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for assisting the management of the development and implementation of the ITS Professional Development programs through specialized certifications for the department. Coordinates the monthly employee training sessions; Assists in planning and promoting the Professional Development ITS program. Establishes goals and metrics for the Professional Development program and measures the program's performance.
Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the ITS onboarding and offboarding of ITS employees. Establishes semesterly onboarding orientation for campus-wide IT professionals. Coordinates staff engagement with ITS and campus partners for monthly and special events, mentoring opportunities, cross-department collaborations, and other staff activities.
Responsible for assisting in coordinating ITS engagement and outreach activities for ITS. This includes coordinating, scheduling, and representing ITS at networking and education campaigns for students, faculty, and staff. Coordinates engagement with ITS and campus partners for monthly and special events, mentoring opportunities, cross-department collaborations, and other activities.
Responsible for gathering information on the research of national trends and topics to advance culture and engagement the ITS initiatives, including quantitative and qualitative research. This includes recruiting participants, formulating questions, analyzing results, and synthesizing report findings.
Assisting management with planning and hosting ITS events, such as in Town Halls, Open House, Staff expos, and conferences. Assists in coordinating presentation scheduling for monthly ITS meetings. Assists in planning and preparing presentation materials for internal ITS and Campus professional meetings.
QualificationsBachelor's degree or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.)
HelpfulThe Program Coordinator would be expected to have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as experience in organization and process improvement. The ideal candidate should also be able to work collaboratively with other units and departments to achieve the organizational goals.
