Position Overview:

The Environmental Technician is responsible forcompleting daily field service activities which include emergency response, hazardous waste handling & cleanup, and site remediation onsite at customer locations.

A Day in the Life

This is not your typical 9-5 job! Each day is different. Once you arrive ready to work you can expect to:

  • Perform remediation services which include storage tank cleaning, industrial cleaning & maintenance, environmental site remediation, vacuum truck services, and demolition/dismantlement
  • Maintain on-call availability to perform emergency response services including the cleanup of hazardous/non-hazardous waste spills, disaster response and recovery, and waste management
  • Perform physical labor including lifting, pulling and pushing heavy objects
  • If you're called after hours, respond to the shop within 1 hour of being called
  • You may travel out of town occasionally, sometimes for extended periods
  • Operate equipment and tools in a safe manner at all times in accordance with Company policies and guidelines
  • Ensure the work area is safe at all times
  • Perform general housekeeping and maintenance of the offices, warehouses, yards and ER vehicles (stocked and ready to roll)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Always be on-standby for the next ER job

What you need to apply
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Driver's license required, plus a driving record with less than 3 violations in the last 3 years
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Chauffeur's license required or willing to obtain
  • CDL preferred, DOT medical card, insurable driving record
  • TWIC or able to obtain
  • Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able and willing to work in extreme weather conditions and temperatures when needed
  • Able to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator as needed
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule including overtime and weekends
  • Willing to respond to environmental emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Basic computer skills
  • 1 year of general labor experience preferred
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
