Job Description Summary

This position offers a diverse set of job responsibilities. Position requirements:

• Working with electrical subcontractors
• Perform a wide range of laboring duties within the Plant
• Assist in plant maintenance and in compiling reports regarding plant repairs and maintenance
• Help manage electrical projects
• Diagnose electrical issues
• Industrial electrical up grades
• Trouble shoot Fuel Master
• Assist with management of ARC Flash program
• Seasonal position with overtime required during the peak season
• Work in a safe and professional manner
• Report any accident or incident to supervisor
• Perform daily post inspections and Risk assessment forms
• Wear proper PPE at all times (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Work long hours and weekends
• Willing to travel to other locations
• Available to workday or night shift

Requirements/Education/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems
• Be organized and professional
• Proven ability to develop relationships and to work both independently as well as in a team environment.
• Must have a clean valid driver's license
• Physical exam, drug screen and background check required before being employed by Callanan Industries, Inc.
• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
• Experience in mechanical maintenance
• Demonstrate a willingness to work and communicate well with supervisor's and other employees
• Demonstrate the ability to maintain MSHA, OSHA and all other company policies or Government state rules and regulation's
• Operate equipment in a safe and professional manner
• Have the ability to follow through with efficiency on verbal and written instructions
• Maintain excellent attendance, and maintain a can-do, positive attitude
• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
• Must pass physical and work capability exam
• Basic computer skills needed
• Prior experience is preferred, training will be provided as needed
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Degree or certification in electrical / maintenance
• Must pass basic electrical written test
