JOB DUTIES

  • Audits planned work to ensure safe operations are incorporated and standardized into maintenance work plans.
  • Utilizes standard computer systems to generate, display, and communicate work plans.
  • Oversees short and medium range plan development and develops maintenance schedule to ensure effective application of maintenance resources while addressing Operational needs.
  • Incorporates inputs from Reliability Strategist to incorporate special projects into weekly work plan/schedule.
  • Provides support to foremen and craftsmen in executing the reliability maintenance program.
  • Collaborates with foreman and department supervisors to define project parameters and to identify the electrical details involved in a project.
  • Utilizes Flexibility Matrix to ensure efficient maintenance schedule.
  • Oversees Work Order kitting and ensures proper application of kitting process.
  • Coordinates with Operations weekly to incorporate production needs into the existing and future maintenance schedule.
  • Determines and coordinates approval for craftsman overtime as determined by maintenance schedule.
 

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of professional planning, understanding of Electrical drawings or related experience, preferably in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical practices and principles, particularly as they relate to Cascade Steel.
  • Knowledge of Cascade Steel products and of plant facility and equipment.
  • Ability to operate the tools, equipment, hardware and software necessary to perform the duties of this position. This includes working knowledge of and ability to effectively use a PC, Oracle or other programs, wide format color plotter and scanner/copier, MS Office and various other computer applications and/or equipment.
  • Must possess critical thinking skills and the ability to problem solve to work through the electrical details of a project.
  • Must possess strong communication skills, both oral and written, the ability to convey technical information to non-technical staff, and to effectively address questions related to projects and engineering documentation.
  • Must possess strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Must have familiarity with tools, parts, and job duties associated with the electrical trade.
 

ENVIRONMENTAL 

Work is primarily performed indoors, in an office environment and is sedentary in nature. It may occasionally require the ability to exert force or to push/pull up to 40 pounds, and/or to lift/carry up to 40 pounds.

A worker in this position will be subject to both indoor environmental conditions and to manufacturing floor conditions. When work is necessary in the mill, where individual will be exposed to outdoor and/or plant conditions, PPE is required and will be provided.
