JOB SUMMARY:
A Maintenance Technician ensures the satisfactory upkeep and repair of plant tools, equipment, and machinery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Perform maintenance functions safely though the appropriate use of test equipment, hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, scissor lifts and fork trucks
* Perform routine preventative maintenance and LOTO procedures on various machines, adhering to both safety and written procedures for industrial equipment
* Efficiently communicate progress updates and concerns to appropriate parties
* Effectively navigate, edit, and create various software and machine programs
* Instruct others on robotic basics and troubleshoot robotic program errors
* Complete departmental projects while prioritizing work orders to minimize downtime
* Punctual completion of daily paperwork, reports, work orders, audits, and other assigned projects
* Display, encourage, and maintain a professional work environment through respectful communication, utilizing teamwork, integrity, accountability and excellence
* Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping
* Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills/Abilities:
* Ability to apply wiring schematics and diagrams, layout drawings, and work with 480V wire voltages
* Knowledge of PLC ladder logic, robotics, and CNC machine programs
* Ability to use test equipment such as; multi-meter, oscilloscope, and pressure gauges
* Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure
* Ability to lead others and work independently
Preferred Education & Experience:
* High school diploma or G.E.D (required), and Technical or Trade School Certificate (preferred)
* Two (2) years of maintenance experience, required
* Six (6) years of manufacturing environment experience, required
* Supervisory experience or subsequent leadership role experience, preferred
Required Physical Ability:
* Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
* Ability to climb and perform various duties from a ladder at various heights
* Frequent bending, crouching, pulling and pushing
* Regularly lift and/or move up to 20lb., occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lb
WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Working in an indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures
* Protective safety gear will be required including safety glasses, ear protection, and other
* The noise level is usually moderate to high
* Occasional overtime, weekend work, or alternate schedules as required
