POSITION SUMMARY:Under the general supervision from the Director of Kids Summer Camps, the Edit Lab Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the Edit Lab and Post Production Suite dedicated to the Kids Summer Camps. They are responsible for establishing a workflow process to ensure all footage received is cataloged and organized, acting footage is cut and archived properly and all final screenings are created with finesse and accuracy in time for final screening presentations. They will also be assisting with the setup and break down of additional labs for Animation, Game Design and Photography when needed. Finally they will aid in the supervision of Technical Assistants (TA) who are responsible for advising students during post production, providing hands-on assistance with the safe operation of technical equipment, and assisting with in-class and online needs and other day-to-day responsibilities to ensure the successful operation of the Kids Summer Camps both in person and online.

New York Film Academys Kids Summer Camps provide intensive programs in filmmaking, acting, animation, game design, musical theatre, and photography for campers of ages 10 to 13 years old. TAs are role model figures for our energetic, artistic camper body, and must commit to helping maintain an educational, safe, and fun environment for the campers.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The day-to-day duties required of this position may vary.
    Oversee the day to day operations of the Kids Edit Lab(s), including but not limited to, managing edit classes and open edit schedule, determine staffing needs, and ensuring all film students successfully export final project(s) Support and facilitate in aspects of the hiring process for Edit Lab TAsSupervise Edit Lab TAs and determine schedule based on program needsDevelop an onboarding process for newly hired Edit Lab TAs, such as training, orientation, uniform distribution, etcDevelop workflow procedures, in collaboration with with Kids Equipment Room Manager, Instructors and Directors of program as neededMaintain various logistics necessary to ensure the smooth running of the Kids Edit LabCollaborate with the assistant director of camps to determine staffing needs for Edit Lab and maintain schedule to ensure successful operation of the Edit Lab(s)Create and maintain effective channels of communication with the Kids Office and teaching staffSupervise student post production and offer technical assistance to students to ensure their proper and safe use of equipment and softwareFacilitate a safe and effective environment at all timesAdvise students on technical and creative mattersAssist with the build out of the Kids Edit Lab (and additional labds) before the program begins Assist with the breakdown of the Kids Edit Lab (and additional labs) after the program endsSupport the Kids Office with facilities and operations needs on a needs basisDetermine equipment, software, or other supply needs and communicate with with Operations to obtainSupport Summer Camp Administrative staff with facilities and operations needs Prep and organize footage before Edit classes and/or Open EditProvide assistance during Edit Classes or instruction, on a need basisOther duties as assigned by Kids Camp Director, Assistant Director, or senior management

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and CERTIFICATION
    High School/GED required. Post production experience required Film/Video Production Experience preferredExperience providing technical support on film shoots and/or art events required. Experience working in a fast-paced multi-tasking results driven environment with attention to detail.Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Suite Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPointExperience and comfortability with students ages 10-13
