Carries out routine patient care duties & related activities under the direct supervision of a RN in the Emergency Room setting.
THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN LAVONIA, GEORGIA

The Emergency Center Technician works under the direction of the RN. The responsibilities of the EC Tech include providing direct patient care and maintaining patient care standards. The EC Tech must exhibit the ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to organize, set priorities and manage multiple priorities, and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Carries out secretarial duties related to the smooth functioning of their assigned nursing unit.

Position Requirements:

Must have knowledge of medical terminology, must be self motivated and be able to exercise

sound judgment in response to inquiries by patients and visitors. Must be able to prioritize tasks efficiently, concentrate on tasks being performed, and be adaptable to change. Must be able to multi-task. Must be able to perform duties quickly and accurately. Must be computer literate

A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: CPR required within 6 months of hire date. Certified Nursing Assistant Certification is preferred.

B. Education: Must be a high school graduate. Formal specialty training preferred.

C. Experience: No experience required. Medical terminology, phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred.
