The Operations team partners closely with ResMed's five business leaders to understand their needs then providing a variety of products and services to help them meet those needs including Customer and Technical Services, Global Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, manufacturing, logistics and distribution. Focused on enabling new product introduction and operating excellence, our team strives to improve time to market for new products and services, improve efficiencies in our cross-functional processes, and improve our supply chain through digitization and automation to increase value add to our customers.

Let's talk about the team and you:
Provides technical and sustaining injection molding process engineering support to ResMed. Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products. Develops and conducts statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality. Interacts with product design, suppliers and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.

  • Performs research, design, development and analysis of injection molding manufacturing processes using lean manufacturing concepts related to production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
  • Performs process risk assessments.
  • Develops process validation protocols and reports.
  • Performs process validations using installation, operational, and performance qualification methods.
  • Assures product and process quality by developing test methods and applying statistical rationale for controlling and monitoring process stability.
  • Performs process and measurement system analysis using statistical methods.
  • Develops process specifications.
  • Promotes automation technology by developing resources and processes to implement cost effective automation.
  • Designs and procures tooling and equipment.
  • Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new and/or revised products and evaluates results.
  • Prepares and manufactures prototype parts and tools utilizing the principles of concurrent engineering.
  • Performs to individual goals established during MyDay meetings.
  • Performs research, design, development and analysis of injection molding manufacturing processes using lean manufacturing concepts related to production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
  • Performs process risk assessments.
  • Develops process validation protocols and reports.
  • Performs process validations using installation, operational, and performance qualification methods.
  • Assures product and process quality by developing test methods and applying statistical rationale for controlling and monitoring process stability.
  • Performs process and measurement system analysis using statistical methods.
  • Develops process specifications.
  • Promotes automation technology by developing resources and processes to implement cost effective automation.
  • Designs and procures tooling and equipment.
  • Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new and/or revised products and evaluates results.
  • Prepares and manufactures prototype parts and tools utilizing the principles of concurrent engineering.
  • Researches, diagnoses, evaluates and resolves production problems.
  • Reviews and verifies engineering blueprints/drawings.
  • Coordinates molding suppliers PPAP submissions and reviews documents for accuracy.
  • Role will requires a minimum of 50% travel to Malaysia, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea and other facilities with the USA as needed. We estimate travel will be 70% to Asia / 30% within USA.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of injection mold process engineering experience in a manufacturing organization.
  • Medical device manufacturing a plus.
  • Ability to use Matlab, Minitab, Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Ability to use CAD software.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in writing as well as verbally.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a cross functional team environment.
  • Maintain an outstanding work ethic and an enthusiastic approach to getting the job done.
  • Possess confidence to directly communicate and resolve issues amicably with manager and co-workers.
  • Knowledge of motor and/ or rotary components desired.
  • Equivalent combination of experience and/or education may be considered

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
  • Travels, both domestically and internationally, as required, to coordinate activities among stakeholders and customers.
