What You Will Be Doing - Interpret plans and specifications to prepare written proposals for bids and proposals
- Provide knowledge and understanding of the estimation policy and procedures to provide a complete & checked estimate
- Maintain an understanding of all local, city, and state building codes in assigned location
- Perform calculations, organize estimates, contract terms/negotiations/conditions, and schedule activities/sequencing
- Full oversight of bids/estimates, ensure accurate/on-time takeoffs, budgets/pricing, quantity/scope surveys, drawings/specs, meetings, maintain estimating figures/data, final review, track awarded projects, client relations/development, and change orders
- Posses the skills required to market the company
What You Need for this Position - Assistant Estimator with 2 years of experience or 5-7 years of experience overall
- B.S. Degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, finance, or accounting is preferred
- Proficient understanding of the Drywall trade
- Must be knowledgeable of local material, labor, and equipment cost
- Proficient understanding of all local, city, and state building codes in assigned location
- Ability to produce in a high pressure environment
