We are seeking a Driver for our Puyallup, WA location to join our team. This position will be responsible for transporting finished goods and materials to our manufacturing plants, customers and distribution centers. This position provides a vital link between the materials and production departments.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Making local deliveries daily (Driving a Ford F-350 pulling a 40ft gooseneck flatbed trailer).
* Loading flatbed trailers using a forklift when necessary.
* Securing your loads using company provided tie-down straps.
* Keep daily delivery log.
* Back-in/shuffle trailers in yard as needed when not out on deliveries (using our hostler truck)
* Assist shipping team in other duties as needed.
* Deliver product in a timely manner
* Drive safely and avoid accidents and tickets
* Interface with customers in a courteous manner
* Keep accurate records and logs
* Conduct daily pre-trip truck inspections
* Maintain good communication with Production Manager
* Assist in loading and unloading of material

WORKING CONDITIONS

* Fast paced manufacturing environment where workers are exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures and dust; working with mechanical parts and pinch points; exposure to increased noise levels.
* Hours worked: 8-10 hours/shift, varies on shift schedule and business volume.
* Flexible to the possibility of overtime and weekend hours when required.

* Must have a valid driver's license (CDL NOT REQUIRED but preferred).
* Efficient time-management skills
* Able to read Maps/GPS and maintain a good sense of direction
* Ability to drive in all weather conditions
* Must be courteous and considerate of customers
* Able to communicate effectively through verbal, oral, and written communication
* Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills
* Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations
* Experience in a 5-speed manual pick-up truck preferred.
* Experience in pulling a goose-neck trailer preferred.
* Knowledgeable in commercial trailer connecting/disconnecting.
* DOT regulation knowledge is a plus.
* Prior forklift driving experience is a plus.
