Distribution Center Clerk (Part-time)

Riverside Distribution Center

We are searching for a Distribution Center Clerk (Part-time) at 2360 Cottonwood Ave., Riverside, CA 92508.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

The Distribution Center Clerk reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.  Operates systems, performs updates, and enters data.  Creates and delivers shipping and receiving documents.

Shift:

Candidate must be able to work overnight and weekend shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned or required.

  • Supports business processes, standard operating procedures and operations productivity.
  • Accurate system usage and data entry on all loads and associate's performance.
  • Responsible for organizing, shipping manifest, directing loaders to their next assignments.
  • Communicates and interacts with Operations group, Buyers, Receivers, and Truck Drivers.
  • Sends out communications via e-mail.
  • Releases and monitors letdown movement drops for reprocessing routes.
  • Prepares fill rate reports and explanations for service level inquires.
  • Shorts Reprocessing.
  • Responsible for checking in all drivers and maintaining contact with security regarding doors to which the loads are assigned.
  • Communicates purchase order discrepancies to the buyers.
  • Data Entry.
  • Responds to all vendor and customer requests either through phone calls or via e-mails regarding deliveries and/or shipments.


Required Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience

One to five years' work experience. Warehouse or shipping office experience a plus.  Retail Management Certificate is desirable.

Candidates must possess the following skills:

  • Bilingual, Spanish and English a strong plus.
  • Familiar with the functions of a PC in a Windows related Operating System is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and unbiased between different departments.
  • Ability to complete hourly and daily data entries and to produce operating reports.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work overtime assignments when there is a business need.  Work schedule may be subject to change due to business need. 
  • Must be able to work shifts (Day, Swing, Graveyard) that vary from week to week depending on the crew whose performance is being audited.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to work near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required spend up to 100% of their time on the Operations Floor. In doing so, they will need to stand, walk, balance, stop, kneel, reach, talk, hear, and use fingers and hands to handle and lift product that does not exceed 50lbs.
  • Additionally during the course of performing these tasks, the associate may need to verify accuracy of inventory based on distances from the floor up to 30 feet where product is stored in reserve locations.
  • Additionally the associate will have to look at small sets of numbers to verify UPC's and code dates of various products to insure accuracy.
  • Work in an atmosphere as cold as 30 degrees F.
