Summary:

The Director, Marketing is responsible for developing marketing programs and campaigns that engage a broad range of audiences including customers, prospects and industry influencers for their assigned business unit. This person has a deep understanding of what differentiates products and solutions and can develop unique value propositions based on audience segmentation. They will also build and execute a multichannel engagement strategy and roadmap to enhance and grow the CSG business and overall brand. This individual will work closely with corporate marketing and go-to-market teams, corporate communications and other key stakeholders to help define and deliver the CSG story in support of business and solution objectives.

Position Details:

Marketing Strategy

Define and drive the execution of objectives surrounding marketing strategy, including brand building and lead generation efforts, for their assigned strategic solutions unit.

  • Develop positioning strategy and compelling messaging that differentiates product and solution offerings in the market across specific industry verticals.
  • Lead the development of the go-to-market strategy and execution plans spanning all stages of the buyer lifecycle; from prospect identification to acquisition and retention.
  • Be the brand ambassador and evangelist, leading the development of sales and marketing content/collateral for assigned strategic solutions unit products and solutions.
  • Leverage data, analytics and market research to develop marketing strategies that position CSG as an industry leader.
  • Share best practices and insights to ensure we deliver on our vision of providing customers, prospects and partners with the right message at the right time.

Campaigns & Programs

Collaborate with internal and external resources on the delivery of integrated brand, product, solution and event campaigns.

  • Have a creative eye that can critique and create ideas for engaging campaigns that drive demonstrable business results.
  • Ensure that cross-channel integrated campaigns are produced, prioritized, implemented effectively.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to ensure that customer engagement is optimized for both quality and value throughout the customer journey.
  • Ensure all programs and campaigns are on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels including online, social media, email, mobile, video, etc.
  • Identify and track measurable targets for the creation, distribution and impact of programs and campaigns that are directly tied to defined audience segments and business objectives.

Team and Resource Management

Manage internal and external resources and cross-functional teams as a key leader within the CSG marketing organization. Foster a culture of continuous content evolution and improvement. Challenge and inspire teams to achieve business results.

  • Internal to CSG: Management, Product Development, Sales, Pre-Sales, Professional Services, Technical Staff
  • External to CSG: Customers, prospects and partners

Work Environment

  • Standard office environment.
  • Must be able to work after hours as necessary to support business needs.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, English or Business, or the equivalent work experience

Experience

  • A minimum of 12 years' experience in marketing/communications; extensive B2B technology marketing experience preferred
  • Payments experience STRONGLY preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience in developing multichannel engagement and lead generation strategies.

Demonstrates a passion storytelling and is proactive in creating conversations and seeking innovative ways to connect with key audiences.

Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation and ABM technology platforms

Experience managing teams, including virtual/non-local participants.

Ability to translate complex ideas into simple, intuitive communications.

Outstanding written, verbal and online marketing communications

Familiarity with the Challenger Sales methodology and content strategies to support it.

Natural curiosity, an attention to detail and a desire to try new things.

Demonstrated ability to be flexible and maintain composure under pressure.

A balanced approach to learning on the fly and an openness to change with knowing when to ask for direction.

Travel

  • Must be able to travel internationally and/or domestically (dependent upon location of the role) up to 20% of the time.
