Position Summary
Applications are being accepted for the Director of Financial Planning and Assistance position. The Director supervises and coordinates the Office of Financial Assistance, develops and manages the yearly institutional financial aid budget, and administers the federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs. The position also serves as a member of the Enrollment Management leadership team, along with directors of admissions, operations and transfers, strategic initiatives, and athletics.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop written communication pieces for returning and prospective students.
Represent the college at on-campus and off-campus admission and financial assistance programs.
Coordinate and manage the staffing of the Financial Assistance personnel.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required. Three years of related experience in higher education is required.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs, and preparing financial aid awards. Ability to counsel students and parents on financing an education. Ability to effectively communicate and interact professionally in a variety of situations (in person and on the telephone). Ability to maintain confidentiality. Skills in analyzing data, creating financial aid budgets, and knowledge of computers. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Excel is helpful.
Working Conditions
Work is performed primarily while seated in an office environment. All requirements are subject to change over time, with possible modifications made to reasonably accommodate individuals with a disability. This position works in-person.
