Director - North America PET/Polyester Chain Analyst

The Director/ Analyst works closely with clients in the PET market offering advice around market conditions/ overview, price surveys, forecasting, etc. The incumbent will also be responsible for creating and utilizing our Monthly Petrochemical & Plastics Analysis report used by client industry wide.

The successful candidate will have around 10+ years industry experience, preferably including commercial, manufacturing, business, and/or analyst roles. The individual should possess a fundamental understanding of and have industry contacts for one or more of these markets, and will become an expert over time in all these markets: PET resin, ethylene glycol, PTA, and polyester fiber.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides external clients with objective strategic advisory services to improve organizational performance and long-term competitiveness
  • Designs, implements and delivers business performance/improvement programs in areas such as customer relationship management, business process reengineering and business performance improvement
  • Advises clients on strategic projects such as strategy development, transformational change, organization restructuring and improving the effectiveness of specific functions (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Production, Risk Management) based on a solid understanding of client businesses, industries, regulatory environments and markets.
  • Helps client organizations to successfully navigate through critical businesses changes and address complex issues
  • Responsibilities are within the Business Consulting Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines Collects, analyzes and reports management data to support decisions on day-to-day operations, strategic planning and specific business performance issues
  • Collates, models, interprets and analyzes data; explains variances and trends
  • Identifies and documents enhancements to modeling techniques
