The Director, IT Business Partner - Corporate and Regional Services (Finance, HR, Strategy and Growth, Public Affairs and Law) will align business and IT objectives, lead overall engagement between Corporate and Regional Services stakeholders and IT, formulate synthesized business capabilities and technology advancement strategies, and is accountable for successful provisioning of IT services and investments to achieve outcomes for their stakeholders.

What will you do?

Business and IT Alignment:

  • Represents the IT function with the Corporate and Regional Services leadership teams
  • Aligns strategic and tactical business objectives with corresponding IT objectives and long-term roadmaps
  • Provide insights and thought-leadership on industry/functional trends and best practices to guide business priorities, customer and employee experience advancements, and technology decisions
  • Engage constantly with the customer understand product requirements using surveys, interviews, trade studies, and market research
  • Utilize high-level business process and IT system architectures (current, interim, and target states) to guide business process, capability, and technology advancement strategies and roadmaps
  • Execute proof of concept and innovation projects to determine value and develop the business case
  • Champion data driven decision making through data governance, business intelligence, and data analytics
  • Plan and manage an annual IT investment portfolio for business unit/function in alignment with budgetary thresholds, business priorities, and IT strategies
  • Support business risk management, regulatory compliance, security, and audit remediation activities
  • Create roadmaps for the decommissioning of non-strategic legacy platforms and solutions over time
  • Manage overall IT operating cost for relevant business segments/unit(s), inclusive of costs in IT cost centers and in business cost centers

Solution Delivery:
  • Serve as internal voice of the customer by articulating needs to the Product Owner; validate and make final decision on any proposed solutions from the Product Owner
  • Create and process IT investment proposals or business cases, collaborating with business stakeholders, portfolio management, and Application Delivery colleagues to define scope, ROI, risks & mitigations, major components of work, staffing requirements, and financial needs
  • Serve as champion of IT investments, partnered with Business Champion(s), portfolio management, and Application Delivery, to ensure successful achievement of scope, cost, schedule, quality, adoption, and value outcomes
  • Participate in Steering Committees, Operating Committees, and/or Agile Program Events to guide activities, make trade-off decisions, remove roadblocks, and unify business stakeholder and IT communities
  • Consult with Product Manager and other Product Owners when prioritizing stories in the Team Backlog to ensure alignment with program priorities
  • Provide final verdict if a story meets acceptance criteria, has the appropriate acceptance tests, and meets Definition of Done (DoD)
  • Orchestrate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Participate in system demos to review and approve user stories based on the acceptance criteria
  • Own business value realization planning and ongoing results updates to IT Operations for consolidated performance reporting

Business of IT:
  • Participate in IT strategy creation, including alignment with enterprise and Business Unit strategies
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery efforts, including creation of business impact analyses
  • Support definition and utilization of IT-internal governance processes
  • Participate in team retrospectives and provide feedback on processes improvements
Team Coaching and Development
  • Lead, develop and coach the Business Partner team (including Business Analysts) in order to continually improve IT capabilities necessary to increase performance of the organization. Provide timely and constructive feedback on a regular basis to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles and the business. Manage performance issues when necessary. Work with employees on their career development plans.
  • Foster a business-oriented culture and mindset within the Application Delivery team driven by a continual service improvement approach
  • Work with the IT leadership team to plan future skill needs to acquire and develop the appropriate mix of business, data and process knowledge, technical skills and competencies.
  • Other job duties and projects as assigned.

What do you need for this role?
  • Bachelor's Degree required, major in Computer Science, Engineering or related area preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive information technology or business experience
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in a functional area (Finance, HR, Law, etc.) with a strong track record of success.
  • Extensive functional knowledge of Finance business processes, finance reporting and analytics, and finance systems, especially SAP Finance modules.
  • Strong experience in implementing initiatives and influencing organizational change
  • Rigorous budget management experience
  • Ability to anticipate and understand business strategies, objectives and priorities
  • Significant experience in facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects, based on management objectives
  • Experience in either Scrum or Scaled Agile Framework methodologies preferred
  • Fluency in Portuguese preferred
  • Must be a self-driven, motivated senior leader with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to build consensus, and good customer and executive presence
  • Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple, fast changing priorities
  • Strong motivational leader that possesses a hands-on, lead by example approach with the ability to lead a fast-paced IT team of both full time and contract staff
  • Excellent verbal, written, listening, facilitation and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to present and discuss business and technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding and the "discuss-decide-support" philosophy
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and team building skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, support activities and tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to effectively work and create effective partnerships with employees at all levels within the organization

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of time
  • Strong computer skills, which includes proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Strong SAP Finance experience
  • Ability to use complex spreadsheets to analyze the business
