About the Role
The Director, Data Stewardship will be responsible for Walmart's associate data governance and data modeling. This includes leading a team of associates across multiple geographies (US and India) to improve the availability, accuracy, security, and consistency of our associate data.
This leader will own:
data governance roadmap, processes, resolution framework, security/permissions, metadata, lineage, audit controls, and data/metric standards. semantic data layer roadmap; tabular model design, development, and deployment; and standards and best practices for product deployment.
This individual will work with technology teams that own data applications and long-term storage (data lake, data warehouse) along with product and BI teams in delivering and enabling data-related strategic initiatives.

Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 3 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 3: 7 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. 2 years' supervisory experience.Outlined below are the optional preferred qualifications for this position. Data science, data analysis, statistics, or related field, PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Related industry experience (for example, retail, merchandising, healthcare, eCommerce), Successful completion of assessments in data analysis and Business Intelligence tools and scripting languages (for example, SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, R, Power BI, or Tableau), Supervisory experience
