Meet the team -

As a Director, you and your team will support risk mitigation activities for the consumer product portfolio. The role will provide a risk lens to portfolio leaders, product managers, and PMO teams throughout the product development lifecycle. You will focus on business risk and controls, in order to ensure products and features are secure and compliant, and the associated risks are identified and mitigated as outlined per enterprise compliance policies. This role will support Digital Wallet, Venmo, Shopping and Giving

Job Description:

Responsible for the execution of business risk and control activities for the operational unit they support:

  • Manage a team of associatesperforming risk mitigation activities including testing and monitoring and support the implementation and execution of these activities.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness andlead credible challenge to established controls.Support modified or new control design for the operational unit from development to execution.
  • Support astrong risk management culturethrough the implementation of key risk management programs into the standard operating framework of the business
  • Review and derive insights fromkey risk metricsfor the business, interpreting the data provided through dashboards and operational reporting from centralized teams.
  • Work withcross-functional teams and third partiesto assess processes, evaluate, and communicate levels of risks, and recommend new or modified controls.
  • Manage communication and escalationwith our business partners and external partieson requirements and identified issues.
  • Leveraging strongtesting and monitoring methodologiesdrive our more efficient and effective operational controls, focusing on automated solutions.
  • Actively engage as a first line of defense leaderproviding expertise and support to stakeholders within the business, and ensure adherence to established change control procedures, timely and effective escalation of identified gaps, and sustained effective controls.
  • Maintainstrong understanding of key risk management principlesand PayPal products and services within area of responsibility.
