Primary Function of Position:

We are seeking a solution-oriented, customer first-minded person who will facilitate the implementation of the commercialization readiness process for medical and non- medical digital solutions across the company.

This individual will report to the Senior Manager of PLO (product lifecycle operations) and will be focused on the fast growing and highly innovative Digital business unit. The Digital BU is unique and this person would be responsible for leading development of important processes that would enable commercial readiness of products in compliance with Intuitive’s Quality System requirements and medical device regulations. This person should have a background in operational excellence, business process development and change management. Additionally, this person would be responsible for project management of a portfolio of products with multiple cross functional teams across the entire product lifecycle from pre-commercialization activities, to launch execution, to global obsolescence.  This person will require a global mindset, will be able to quickly comprehend and provide functional project management for multiple worldwide regions simultaneously.  He or she must excel in a high-energy team environment and be capable of making sound decisions when faced with the time pressures and incomplete information.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with core functions (both US and International) to develop key processes and tools to enable commercial readiness of digital products in accordance with the company’s Quality Management System and applicable regulations.
  • Provide project management and process optimization expertise to launch operations and product distribution of a portfolio of digital products.
  • Identify, create, and collaborate in the implementation of business process improvements, enabling tools, and systems that deliver tangible value to the Product Lifecycle Operations (PLO), Program Management Office (PMO) the Digital business unit. 
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of key performance indicators in an effort to identify opportunities for improvement in the existing business model, processes, and structure. 
  • Identify subject matter experts to support multi-functional efforts in process improvement, data capture & analysis, and compliance with policies & procedures. 
  • Analyze and develop business process diagrams and models to support process design and improvement initiatives. 
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedule and work plan. Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

Skill/Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in medical device as marketer, product/project manager or in a regulatory, order management, logistics, operations, or services function
  • Minimum 2 year’s experience in business process development, operational excellence and change management
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work on several fast-paced projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and lead projects effectively with a wide variety of people from multiple geographies and departments
  • Written and oral fluency in English required
