Summary and Scope of Position:The Development Officer (Major Gifts) is responsible for soliciting, cultivating, and stewarding annual, major, and planned gift donors for Ursinus College. The position helps develop and actively manage a portfolio with a minimum of 150+ major gift prospects/donors rated $10,000+. The Development Officer must be willing to travel extensively in the local area, as well as in regions across the country as assigned. The Development Officer will collaborate with colleagues in the Advancement Office and campus partners to create and implement strategies that result in major gifts for the College. The Development Officer will work collaboratively with fellow development officers, the Ursinus Fund team (annual giving), Advancement Leadership, and Advancement Services on prospect portfolio management, strategy, and implementation of best practices in moves management. The Development Officer will be assigned a number of liaison assignments to other departments across campus and/or be responsible for specific affinity groups.This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
