Job Info

Join our Hydro Flask Team at Helen of Troy as our Design Intern - Hydro Flask (hybrid work onsite and from home) and make an immediate impact on our trusted brands. Together, we build innovative and useful products that elevate people's lives everywhere every day. As the world's premier company for insulated products, Hydro Flask began with a challenge: to create a reusable water bottle that truly performs in any environment. It had to keep hot liquids hot and cold liquids cold. Period.

Do you love unique problems and challenges? We are a group of hard-working people and outdoor enthusiasts who are constantly putting our products to the test and delivering "ahh" experiences to engaged consumers worldwide. We live our brand values every day, supporting a reliable, playful, adaptive, honest, inclusive, and unconventional culture where employees can learn, thrive, and grow.

Helen of Troy's internship is a 10-week program (June 2022-August 2022), which requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. We empower our interns with opportunities to work on business challenges aligned to your educational goals! You will have the opportunity to network with executives, give back through planned community events and participate in fun social events with your intern peers. Your peers and managers will support and improve your leadership skills and experience.

What you will be doing:

  • You will be another brand steward working with writers, producers, designers, art directors, and illustrators to develop the creative expression you see globally from the Hydro Flask brand

  • Supporting creative work that is realized through social, digital channels, retail promotions, packaging, advertising, and corporate marketing materials

Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Positive personality, desire to learn, and works well in a collective environment. You love to take a great idea and make it even better

  • A conceptual problem solver. Your design, typography, illustration is linked to a bigger idea, it is not art for art's sake

  • Enthusiastic about color, typography, composition, art, and illustration. You know, love, and understand the strength of social media in telling brand stories. You are the person that needs to be dragged out of the art museum. You have been accused of being a type enthusiast, sketching fanatic or art monger -- or all of the above

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Full-Time undergraduate or graduate student (Must be at least a rising Sophomore or Junior of a four-year degree program)

  • Major / field of study related to applicable internship focus (Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Copywriting or related fields of study)

  • Exposure to Adobe Creative Suite and After Effects (or any motion graphics programs)

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Works well in a collaborative environment and able to work with diverse groups amidst varied objectives

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Wondering if you should apply? Helen of Troy welcomes people as diverse as our brands. Have the confidence to come as who you are because your point of view, skillset, and experience will make us stronger. If you're eager to share new ideas and try new things, we want to hear from you.
