Job Info


Manage safety, day-to-day installations, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, profits, and sales growth of one or more departments. Lead the sales effort for the department and continually prospect for new customers. Install, oversee and coordinate production efforts at various customer locations, ensuring all work is performed within customer's operational schedule and needs. Conduct business in accordance with PPC and Pieper Electric, Inc. mission and vision statements.

Sales, Billing and Collections, & Profitability:

Invoice customers immediately after project completion, with a goal of bi-weekly on larger projects.Manage billings for positive cash flow. Track accounts receivable and manage working capital to no more than 3% of sales.

Productivity:

Facilitate constant process improvement in the area of production and efficiency in our field labor.Implement pre-fab, WENG standards, and other productivity improvement tools to consistently have increases in our field production.Achieve minimum productivity requirements of 100% while striving for expected productivity requirements of 110%.
Growth:Prospect for leads continually. Provide budgets, estimate proposals, and build relationship networks to achieve a minimum of 10% growth in sales per year.
Supply the lifeblood of the organization, which provides the long-term health of the business.Achieve the minimum budgeted net profit for your department.

Customer Service and Satisfaction:

Develop and maintain relationships with customers; ensure high quality service is provided to guarantee repeat sales and favorable recommendations. Take prompt action to resolve any customer complaints.Survey all customers and achieve a minimum rating of 9.0 out of 10, with a goal of 9.8.
Complete projects, jobs, and reports effectively.
Be available at customer's request, which may require weekend, and holiday work on a regular basis; shutdowns are often scheduled on major holiday's.Must be able to act/react quickly to customers' demands.

Employee Engagement:
Achieve minimum score of 40%, with a goal of 45%, on employee engagement.
Provide overall leadership to department while acting as a team player; lead by example; provide necessary and frequent communication to direct reports to ensure smooth and efficient operation of department.
Take actions required to promote teamwork and cooperation within the department, branch, and company.
Personnel Development & Continuing Education:
Train and mentor electricians, mechanics, apprentices, lead people, and other department managers as needed.
Provide personnel development plans, monitoring, coaching, feedback, & growth opportunities to your direct reports.Ensure that you are developing at least one candidate to back up your position.Assess own development needs and plan with your supervisor for incorporation into your development plan.
Make recommendations for personnel decisions, including hiring, firing, and performance & disciplinary issues.
