PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION:
The primary purpose of this position is to receive process and schedule patients. Tasks include preparing paperwork, filing, entering orders and scheduling patients into EPIC, tracking unread exams, verifying pre-authorizations for MRI, CT, and other modalities as necessary.

DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY:
As a Department Secretary, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• High school Diploma (prefer more advanced degree)
• Medical terminology

EXPERIENCE:
• Three years' experience in medical office/hospital environment required
• Strong computer skills required
• Familiar with radiology terminology and modalities preferred.
• Knowledge of EPIC programs strongly preferred.
