Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Kiess Kraft Dental Lab in Omaha, Nebraska for a Full-Time Dental Lab Technician III (Removable Set-up to Finish).

The regular hours for this position are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Read and review all case paperwork for correct doctor name, finish date, case design and tooth shape and shade
  • Check models for defect that need correcting before fabrication begins
  • Check articulation of models for proper occlusal relationship
  • Post dam upper models
  • Set pin on articulator to establish vertical relationship
  • Double check teeth to be used for correct mold and shade
  • Place wax on baseplate and set teeth on the arch in proper alignment to achieve proper function and good aesthetics. If setting for wax try-in, soak model in water before set-up.
  • Check occlusion to be sure correct bite relationship has been achieved
  • Trouble shoot and problem solve, using past experience and success to gauge best steps on future cases
  • Complete all steps from set-up to finish on denture appliances
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required
Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Able to perform certain lab tasks as demonstrated during hands-on session
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Strong ability to read, listens, comprehend, retain and execute on written and verbal instructions
  • High level of organizational skill with the ability to prioritize work
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
  • Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience and is skilled in one or more functions within a dental laboratory.

  • Wet Grinder
  • Sharp Tools/Instruments
  • Investment material
  • Hot wax and/or hot glue gun
  • Bunsen burner
  • Lathe
  • Hand piece
  • Hydrocolloid machine
  • Polisher
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach.
  • Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions.
  • Read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information.
  • Vision capabilities: depth perception, attention to detail, and/or color.
