Overview

The DC Associate (Bulk Team) will assist with several key areas of Alternative's Distribution Center. The DC Associate will play an integral role in delivering the superior customer experience Alternative's customers have come to expect. They will ensure that all shipments are readied for shipment to our customers in the most efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Follow printed and electronically transmitted work instructions to accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders and meet same day goals.
• Function as a flexible member of a team to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Maintain assigned area in a safe and clean manner.
• Display a willingness to learn and grow within our organization.

Bulk Specific Duties:

• Responsible for picking orders and maintaining same day service.
• Work closely with the Bulk Supervisor to ensure all orders are completed in a timely manner.
• Willingness to change priorities throughout the day as volume changes.
• Prepare pallets for daily/weekly shipments.
• Work with the Bulk Supervisor to ensure down time in between tasks are utilized for the benefit of the team.
• Hit and/or exceed metrics for sales channels.
• Performs related duties when assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a distribution environment is required.
• Excellent multi-tasking and prioritizing skills.
• Basic mathematical proficiency.
• Experience using a forklift, order picker, and hand-held devices.
• Ability to use order picker up to a height of 25' with the potential for counting, loading, and unloading of cartons at that height required.
• Ability to consistently lift up to 35 lbs.
• Strong work ethic.
• Microsoft Office experience is a plus.
