Position Description

Mid-level DBA working in a team environment that will operate in all aspects of database design, security, monitoring, and administration of SQL Server versions 2012+ and Azure DB, including writing advanced SQL queries and stored procedures and working with SSIS to build and maintain ETL packages. * Meet with business partners to understand requirements. * Communicate with technical, applications and operational teams to ensure database integrity and security. * Create design documents, develop and unit test code changes, and participate with users in UAT testing. * Understand new and existing processes and come up with methods to resolve issues. * Manage database access across various user groups (internal and external). * Assist in Database Design and Development. * Create and maintain SSIS packages to import / export data and automate processes. * Participate in the creation of development, staging, and production database instances, and the migration from one environment to another. * Recommend and implement emerging database technologies. * Recommend optimizations to existing application queries. * Data security monitoring. * Support production databases after hours as needed.

Skills Required

* SQL Server DBA * Strong SSIS development skillset * Strong communication and organizational skills. * Ability to use problem-solving and analytical skills to take on challenging tasks. * Desire and ability to learn and hone new skills. * Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Skills Preferred

* SSRS * Azure DevOps * Familiarity with the Agile Process * Azure DB * Data Modeling

Experience Required

3+ years of SQL Server Database Administration focusing on: * Developing, maintaining, and deploying SSIS packages. * Relational database modeling and design. * Installing SQL Server. * Writing and analyzing complex queries in T-SQL. * Troubleshooting and problem solving of performance and other issues related to locking and blocking. * Routine database maintenance such as backups, reorgs, and database recovery. * SQL Server security and encryption methods. * Developing T-SQL stored procedures, functions, views and triggers. * Working in a VSTS (Azure DevOps) and Agile environment.

Experience Preferred

Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field; Or equivalent work experience.
