Description
Are you interested in joining SAIC to be part of our partnership providing high quality engineering advisory services, system planning, integration, and architecture to our government intelligence agency customer? Then consider joining the members of the Enterprise Systems Engineering and Architecture team as they aid our customer in collaborating, integrating, and standardizing the engineering approach across the customers enterprise.
We have current requirements for several Data Scientist and Data Mappers supporting the systems engineering of data flow and data storage across the enterprise at the customer's Fort George G. Meade Maryland area. The selected individuals will provide support and related services to the implementation of enterprise data representations in various mission domains. They will perform end-to-end systems engineering for data flows from the perspective of data format modeling, data mapping, and support to implementers and mission customers and will require a strong software and systems engineering expertise from cradle to grave with limited, high-level direction. The selected individuals must be able interface with customers, system administrators, database team members, software developers, and senior-level management. In particular, they will:
Enable and grow our existing automation efforts, add additional data streams, and drive forward our data transformation efforts.
Focus on the sponsor’s business analytics, metrics collection, and analysis efforts. The sponsor’s management team requires a data scientist to characterize the sponsor’s work force, workforce productivity and output, and the value of collection to the workforce.
Perform high-level data requirements analysis to support application of data standards across the enterprise. Duties require a broad range of knowledge including information technology, requirements, technical architecture analysis (e.g., understanding data flow diagrams, system architecture diagrams, etc.), and an understanding of functional and system analysis.
Coordinate across teams that leverage multiple development methodologies, Agile (Scrum & Kanban), etc.

For the Data Mapper roles, the emphasis is on the following desired background and skills:
Integrating national and tactical data architectures into enterprise data representations (or formats) that can produce outputs to support multiple system architectures.
Learning and understanding data models and data architecture documents.
Maintaining awareness of commercial data standards and community data standardization activities.

Qualifications
Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:
Salary will deprend on specific experience and education of candiate. In general, the postions require Bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of two (2) to twenty (20) years of general systems engineering experience, a Master’s degree or PhD in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of zero (0) to eighteen (18) years of general systems engineering experience, or a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 to 24 years of general systems engineering experience.
This is a full time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year.
Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
