Location: Burlington, NJ
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Data Governance Specialist II
This is a permanent, direct hire role. The Data Governance Specialist II will support business areas including Merchandising, Allocations, Marketing, IT and Supply Chain Analytics teams.

This role will be on-site in Burlington, NJ 2 days a week! Please do not apply to this role if you live outside of a commutable distance to this location.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• You will be analyzing internal and external data by establishing data governance policies, processes, and standards that are in-line with organizational priorities.
  
• Working with Data Stewards in the business to enforce and ensure data is used and maintained properly.
  
• Promoting efficient, accurate records, and effective information/data management throughout the organization.
  
  
• Partner with business and IT leaders to define and identify data owners and data stewards for key data sources
  
• Instill confidence and consistency in the quality of data
  
• Develop data dashboards to monitor data quality, data lineage and performance, and identify/resolve issues
  
• Identify and setup data catalog and data dictionary tools and evolve the capability over time
  
• Work with vendors to identify and test data governance tools to automate data governance with time
  
• Design data governance framework and processes to make it easy to find, access and understand data and solve for data quality issues
  
• Collaborate with data governance council, business and data & analytics teams to provide oversight and uncover ongoing data governance opportunities
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering / Science, Physics, or Statistics
  
  
• 2+ years of experience with leading data governance efforts
  
• 5+ years of experience working with data
