Our client is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their growing Data Product team. We need someone with a data engineering background and a data scientist mindset to focus on Python, SQL, DBMS, and especially someone who is used to being in a client-facing position. This team is working on creating a Data Product Catalog to be used throughout the company nationwide by analysts, data scientists, and data professionals). Currently there are about 150 total end users and they hope to continue this growth.

Top Requirements:
- Python / SQL - this a must-have as most of the team's work is done in SQL and Python to join large data sets across multiple tables
- DBMS (think mySQL); NoSQL is not desired
- Client facing; can effectively communicate to clients regarding what the data is, challenges with the data and options for how to resolve said challenges
- Base understanding of cloud computing, data pipelines and supporting tool sets (i.e. Jenkins, Snowflake, DBT, and AWS)
Plusses:
- Snowflake is a HUGE plus
- Networking knowledge

Day to Day/Project:
- Team is in charge of Data Product and they are creating for internal clients
- Instead of chasing data each time it comes up, this team is creating the data to have data assets
- Internal clients are across all business units: need to help them to figure out how else they can use their data
- Goal is to have an infinite return on investment
- Uses newer technologies: DBT, Airflow, YAML, Jinja, in addition to Python and Basic SQL
- This team works with 20 different Business Units across 45 departments (nationwide) with about 150 total end users (analysts, data scientists, data professionals)
- All based around network data
- For perspective: they have 250 assets in place (assets = database cable)
- Every day they refresh 125 assets which is about 4 trillion rows of data and 10 petabytes
