Our client, a Distribution company in Northbrook, seeks a Customer Service/Order Entry position on a temporary-to-hire basis. This position is onsite and the hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm.


POSITION SUMMARY

The Order Management/Customer Service Representative acts as a liaison, provide product information, process orders, and resolve any emerging problems with customer accounts. Manages assigned customer accounts, from entry to delivery, to ensure customers' expectations are achieved.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Order Process and Shipment
a. Process sales order entry and shipments.
b. Place purchase order to vendors and key-in receiving into system.

c. Communicate with customer for order status and shipment tracking updates.

d. Coordinate shipping requests and produce paperwork required for shipment.

e. Schedule pick-ups, trace shipments, provide shipment ETAs, rate quotes and charges, etc.

2. Billing
a. Creates invoices and credit memos.
b. Answer customer questions regarding invoices, due dates, payment method, etc.
c. Process customer payment.
d. Review and enforce terms for customer payment.
3. Take phone calls and instruct to the right party.

4. Maintain consistent records of all previous and current documents and reference them when needed.
5. Be willing to help in all business matters relating to the company.
6. Perform general office duties.


SKILL AND QUALIFICATIONS
1. Associate college degree or equivalent experience.
2. 1+ years' Order Management/Customer Service Representative experience.
3. Strong attention to detail.
4. Experience in using Quick books or ERP system for order process is preferred.
5. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to follow-up with others.

6. Strong organization and time management skills.
7. Taking initiative: strong sense of task completion.
8. Trustworthy and Reliable: Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
9. Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and general business background.
10. Able to work independently.

11. Friendly and professional demeanor.
