Registry

Mostly evening Shift as needed

In this role, the CT Technician performs computerized tomography procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.

Position Responsibilities

  • Explains the procedure to the patient and answers any questions prior to the performance of the exam.
  • Obtains patient history pertinent to exam.
  • Produces high quality C.T. images and generate 3-D images within proper time parameters.
  • Adheres to procedure protocols at all times.
  • Correctly identifies study with patient identification and proper orientation.
  • Send and verify exams in PACS.
  • Archives/network exams according to department protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Required:
  • Associates Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
  • Specify Degree(s): Radiologic Technology
  • 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Preferred:
  • 3-5 years of previous job-related experience

Licensure/Certifications:

Required:
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Registered Radiographic Technologist
  • Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA)

Preferred:
  • Computer Assisted Tomography (CT Technologist)
