The Customer Service Center (CSC) Dispatcher answers all non-911 and emergency telephone calls and routes calls to the appropriate responders efficiently. The CSC Dispatcher also activates internal medical response team alerts, enters Police/Security incidents in Computer-Aided-Dispatch System, efficiently routes external responses to local PD/FD/EMS, dispatches patient transporters, and fills in for other Service Reps and full-time Emergency Police Dispatchers, as needed. The essential functions of the role include the following:
- Exhibit technological competency to utilize complex telecommunications, alarms, CCTV, and various other computer systems.
- Answer, evaluate, and prioritize calls for assistance to Police/Security, internal medical response teams, local EMS and Fire Departments.
- Provide adequate information to maintain the safety of our Police Officers, Security Guards, Staff Members, Patients and Visitors.
- Support the Police/Security Dispatcher during critical situations.
- Contact internal response teams through various communications systems and relaying critical information to the Police/Security Dispatcher.
- Remain calm, focused and positive during life and death situations involving police, security and medical responses.
- Leads or participates in projects in support of the department.
- Responsible for providing feedback to leadership regarding ways to improve processes, increase efficiencies, and to maximize the performance of the department.
The ideal candidate for the CSC Dispatcher role must have the ability to successfully handle difficult/stressful situations in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment. In addition, the ideal candidate must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, have the ability to multi-task and provide conflict resolution, if necessary. Lastly, the individual must have excellent customer service and communication skills, and be able to read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos and other forms of verbal and written communications in the English language.

QUALIFICATIONS- EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
- EXPERIENCE - A minimum of 1 year experience required
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
 911 Certification (911CERT): TCOLE 911 Certification or must have within 1 year from date of hire or transfer.
