The Credit Manager role is empowered to ensure building contractors & commercial customers have the credit lines they need to deliver fresh water and air to their communities.

Due to regulatory issues we must limit our remote options to the following locations in which we have current operational presence and/or employees:

AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, KS, KY, MD, NV, NM, NC, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA

For those who prefer hybrid or onsite, we welcome the option to discuss where operations can accommodate your preference.

What you will do:

The Credit Manager is a individual contributor role responsible for the overall management of an accounts receivable portfolio of higher profile customers as it relates to credit, collection and communication needs.

This includes contacting past due customers for payment, monitoring and actioning lien/bond expiration timelines, customer service and problem resolution, risk management of new and existing customers, sales tax certificate management, maintaining a regular communication cadence with branch teams, and working with third party collection agencies.

This position serves as a team lead responsible for day-to-day oversight of a regional credit team including team metrics, AR Reviews, high profile customer management/visits and branch/sales escalation resolution. The Credit Manager is also responsible for ensuring AR is properly secured and collections are efficient/effective, providing coaching when needed to improve performance.

What you need to succeed:

  • Knowledge and skills commonly reflected in 2 or more years in business credit approval and collection experience
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the role, with or without, a reasonable accommodation
  • General computer skills (Windows, Office, Excel)
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness and ability to make collections calls.

  • Distribution, wholesale, manufacturing
  • Construction industry knowledge - liens, bonds, contractors
  • Will consider additional credit/collection experience in lieu of degree
  • Eclipse and/or GetPaid system experience a plus
