Job Title: Cost Analyst
Location: Pasadena, TX
Pay: DOE
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting the Project Controls Advisor to understand and forecast costs on the Pasadena LTO project in Phases 3-5.
Job Duties:

• Works with contractors and the Chevron project team to develop, generate, and analyze integrated project progress and performance reports, and forecasts.
• Utilizes change management (management of change, budget transfers, contingency drawdown and trend logs).
• Works with Finance to ensure established accounting processes, systems, and procedures are followed.

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Monitor cost & schedule
• Track costs and commitments
• Monitor and review Earned Value reporting
• Administer Cost Engineering impacted management of change, including budget transfers, contingency drawdown and trend logs
• Maintain consistency in cost bases through rigorous adherence to the controls processes.
• Work with Procurement, Estimating & Project Management to understand VOWD, accruals, outstanding invoices and resolve claims
• Work with Finance to ensure established accounting processes, systems, and procedures are followed
• Ability to facilitate meetings

Qualifications:

• Well-rounded Cost Engineering background
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cost Engineering/Project Controls (oil and gas preferred)
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Cost accounting tools - SAP, SMART, Cost Tracking Tools/Dashboards
• Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate at all levels and to work well within a team environment with minimal supervision
• Consistently considers problems, process improvements, changes, etc. with an enterprise mindset
