The Corporate Paralegal provides legal support to multiple attorneys each working with several business and support groups within the organization. Paralegal support includes drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts under attorney supervision; effectively communicating and building strong business relationships with internal clients in order to understand business objectives and identify
issues to assist attorneys in providing value-added legal counsel; track and manage contract negotiations under attorney supervision; and other projects in support of the legal department objectives.

Contract Management

  • Manage contract lifecycle from inception through execution
  • Support attorneys in drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial transactions, including sales, service, consulting, technology, licensing, non-disclosure, dealer and other agreements
  • Track contract details and phases until contract execution while continuously communicating progress to supervising attorney and internal clients

Communication

  • Communicate with business and support clients to understand objectives, review and draft contracts, and identify key issues to assist attorneys and internal clients 15%

Support & Problem Solve

  • Under attorney supervision, respond to and resolve small claims matters and escalated customer complaints
  • Manage, track and work with insurance group and supervising attorney on all insurance subrogation matters for the organization
  • Support and manage document productions for third party disputes and other document requests (e.g., litigation, arbitration, subpoenas, informal requests), including interfacing with record custodians and conducting document review for responsiveness and privilege

Research

  • Under attorney supervision, research and respond to other legal department requests related to corporate or legal compliance

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree. (Bachelors degree preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a corporate paralegal in either a law firm or corporate setting
  • CP - Certified Paralegal
  • Strong ability to work well in a collaborative team environment and build strong personal relationships within the team and across the business at all levels
